A Data Privacy expert is sought by this leading London headquartered legal team which has a strong presence in Cyber, Privacy and Data Protection law. This position is set at Senior Legal Counsel/Senior Associate level. The team is flexible on PQE as long as the right experience is there so please ask us if you are unsure about the seniority required - the role is excellent and we'd love to talk you through the opportunity in full. 

Alongside deep industry knowledge and technical skills across Data Privacy, you will need to have the drive to support others with expanding this team and securing work with existing and new clients. You will be able to confidently mentor and train more junior members of the team and be an organised project manager for the delivery of legal services. 

This team is exposed to some of the best quality work out there which often has a global element, and will likely traverse across privacy, data protection and cybersecurity in different sectors.

Work will be varied and might include for instance UK DP law (GDPR, DPA 2018, PECR), drafting privacy and DP documents like notices, data transfers, data sharing agreements etc, taking clients carefully through privacy risk assessments and compliance processes, managing for instance DPIAs and TIAs, responding to DSARs and maintaining ROPAs. Other work could involve data breach response management and readiness, audits, using legal tech/privacy tech software, and collaborating with other professionals with different specialisms. 

This role will be recruited for in London (although hybrid working is encouraged).

Candidates with in-house legal experience, even on secondment, are particularly encouraged to flag their interest in this opportunity.
