Commercial Legal Counsel

We are seeking a highly motivated and commercially-minded Legal Counsel to join a medium sized in-house legal team in the logistics sector in Cheshire. This is an excellent opportunity for a Solicitor (ideally with commercial contracts experience, but maybe with a commercial related discipline such as projects or construction) with 2+ years PQE to gain broad experience in a dynamic in-house environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drafting, negotiating, and reviewing a variety of commercial contracts, including supplier agreements, client contracts, and procurement documents.
• Providing legal advice on diverse commercial matters.
• Collaborating with internal stakeholders across various departments.
• Managing the contract lifecycle, ensuring timely execution and compliance.
• Supporting with legal research and identifying potential risks and opportunities.
• Contributing to the development and delivery of internal legal training materials.

Who We Are Looking For:

• A qualified solicitor with 2+ years PQE.
• Experience in commercial law, ideally within a corporate or in-house setting. Candidates with experience outside of mainstream commercial contracts will be considered, e.g. those with good quality construction or projects exposure. 
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
• A strong understanding of commercial principles and their application in legal practice.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
